Dalkeith tennis club provide opportunities for people across the Newbattle Community Sports Hub.
Dalkeith Tennis club is one of two clubs based in Midlothian. They are located in the centre of Dalkeith, with 3 outdoor blaze courts on site.
The club are coming to the end of their season at present, as the courts can only be used during the drier months. They are looking at other opportunities to be able to provide tennis year rounds. This includes upgrading their pitches to be able to be used all year.
They provide tennis for adults and children, social tennis, coaching and competition. They have a number of coaches who assist players in their skill development and provide coaching for children to learn the game.
As part of the Newbattle Community Sports Hub they are working with Active Schools, other sports clubs and the council to develop more opportunities to play. This includes promotion of the club, access to funding and support for the development of coaches and volunteers.
